Our 100% cotton studio canvas is back stapled, and stretched with a cut at the corner of the canvas, instead of the traditional fold.

This contributes to a clean finish which will enable you to display your work without a frame. This stretching technique also ensures the even distribution of the surface tension. The shape of the 38mm stretcher bars makes it practically impossible for them to leave imprints on the painting.

The wood for our stretcher bars is sustainably harvested from Swedish spruce forests .

The kiln drying process increases the Canvases resistance to skewing and warping and terminates any bugs that could compromise the wood's integrity over time. 

Please beware that storing the canvas in extreme conditions will most likely damage them regardless of their general durability. Such conditions are; extreme heat, cold, moist and dryness. Please avoid storing the canvas in basements, garages, attics, next to heaters, the bathroom or any other place with extreme temperature and moisture conditions.

Our 100% unbleached Indian Cotton, is woven into a 430g/sqm canvas using a two on one Oxford weave.  The Canvas is then finished by priming it three times with acid-free, highly pigmented titanium white gesso. 

The final painting surface only soaks up a minimal amount of paint, enabling you to apply even the very first brush strokes without the typical friction between your brush and the canvas.

Due to a special stretching technique, the surface of our canvas is super tight and bouncy!

Should the canvas still sag over time, insert the wedges into the designated slots.  It is always a good idea to partially insert the wedges already prior to painting.
